Help
Uninstall Logi Options+ cleanly
Deleting the app is not enough. Login items and leftover agents keep the receiver busy, which is why the next tool “cannot find” the mouse. Uninstall, then confirm nothing named Logi still launches at login.
macOS
Quit Options+ from the menu bar first.
- Move Logi Options+ from Applications to Trash.
- System Settings → General → Login Items. Remove Logi Options+ and any Logi Agent.
- Go → Go to Folder: delete Logi / Logitech folders under ~/Library/Application Support, ~/Library/Caches, and ~/Library/LaunchAgents if they are still there.
- Empty Trash and restart. Activity Monitor should show no Logi process until you install something else.
Windows 11
Quit it from the tray first.
- Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Logi Options+ → Uninstall.
- Task Manager → Startup apps. Disable anything Logi / Logitech that survived.
- Reboot. If a Logi process still starts, uninstall leftover Visual C++ helpers only if they arrived with Options+ and nothing else needs them.
Then install Periph
Download Periph, the best Logitech device app on Mac and Windows. Import Options+ profiles on first launch, finish the 14-day trial, and never look back. Firmware updates still use Logitech’s installer when needed; quit it when done.
FAQ
- Can I keep Options+ for firmware only?
- Yes. Install it when you need a firmware update, quit it when you are done. Do not leave both running.
